Beachfront Apartments in Marbella
Beachfront here means what it says: you cross nothing wider than the seafront promenade to put your feet in the sand. These are the homes for travellers who measure a holiday in swims before breakfast — fall asleep to the sea, check the surf from the kitchen, and leave the car keys in the bowl all week.
What beachfront actually means in Marbella
Plenty of Marbella listings say 'beachfront' and mean 'a beach exists within walking distance'. We use it for one thing only: the building stands directly on the beach or the promenade, with no road to cross. Residencia Lumen in Elviria is the genuine article — out of the lobby, across the boardwalk, onto the sand.
East Marbella's beaches, Elviria included, are the widest and sandiest in the municipality — this is where locals go on Sundays. The trade-off is distance from the centre: you're 12–15 minutes by car from the Old Town. For a beach-first week with a hire car, most guests consider that a bargain. If you'd rather walk to restaurants every night, look at our Old Town and Puerto Banús homes instead.
The practical details
Beachfront buildings live with salt air and summer footfall, so we're picky about the details that suffer: our homes here have enclosed, glazed terraces that are usable on windy days, proper blackout in the bedrooms against early summer sunrises, and air conditioning serviced every spring. Parking is underground and included — beach parking in August is not something you want to negotiate daily.
